At most construction sites you’ll see temporary fencing – and there’s a few good reasons for that. The Safe Work Australia Construction Work Code of Practice states that a workplace with construction work taking place must be secured from unauthorised access. Temporary fencing is a vital part of any occupational health and safety plan for construction sites and can aid in the following:

• Discourage unwanted people and vehicles entering the premises.

• Inform passers-by that construction is underway and to keep clear.

• Help prevent debris and materials leaving the construction site.

• Make the construction site more visually appealing with the use of shade cloth. Here there is also an opportunity to advertise your business and/or project.

• Comply with local building regulations for building sites – especially homes with pools.
